Trisha is passionate about supporting individuals from all walks of life to become more empowered, resilient, calm, and capable in their daily lives. She specializes in working with clients to help them expand their “toolbox” of coping strategies in order to manage and overcome stressors that can act as barriers to living a healthier, more successful and more fulfilling life. Trisha’s warmth, calmness, and welcoming presence create a safe space where people can be their authentic selves, discuss what is most important to them, and figure out their best path forward. She is also a very skillful listener who lends her entire self to helping her clients navigate through life’s toughest challenges.
Trisha is an experienced social worker who offers over 12 years of experience working with children, youth and adults. In her therapy practice, Trisha draws flexibly from elements of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Strength-Based, and Trauma Informed Therapy. She holds both a Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social work from York University and is a Registered Social Worker with membership in the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Trisha also regularly participates in various mental health courses and trainings, and over the years has completed a multitude of trainings in child, youth, and adult mental health.
Trisha understands how our mental wellness can really suffer when life becomes more complicated due to challenging circumstances, strained relationships, or difficult emotions. She knows that it takes courage to reach out to seek support and also how rewarding and valuable that support can be. She works collaboratively with her clients and strives to meet them exactly where they are in their unique life journey. Trisha genuinely enjoys supporting clients in coping with their current life challenges, finding the next steps that are best for them, and building towards a better future.
In her free time, you can find Trisha outdoors taking relaxing walks, trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, or watching a good movie.
